2017: Week 1

It's been about a week since I created my plan for 2017. I thought I'd share an update of how it has been going since I'm all about walking the walk this year. 


Not much movement here, but that's ok, it's just a been a week. 


Have you heard of YNAB?! I love this tool. It has helped me set up and more importantly understand how to create a personal budget. Seriously, mind-blowing. What's even better, is YNAB has live and helpful webinars to help you get started. I was on two of them today. If I keep this up, I will have eliminated a huge stressor in my life. 


I met a new person in town. I'm trying to get involved with local activism, so I met up with someone to talk about what she's involved in. I don't know if we are friends yet, but it's step in the right direction.


I was dog sitting over break, so I was walking a lot. Since my little pup visitor returned home, I haven't been walking as much. It could be because it's super cold out, but I'm going to work towards not making that an excuse and work towards my 10,000 steps/day/3x a week goal.

Good movement in the Read Harder Challenge. I finished one book and put another on hold at the library. 


As I mentioned above, I met with someone who is trying to organize local activism, so It's one step towards my goal of getting involved in a local campaign or organization. I am going to explore other opportunities as well though. 

Overall, I feel like I'm setting myself up for success, so that's a good sign. I hope you're 2017 is off to a great start as well!
